Sun and Sandals Tours is owned by Marlene Lorraine Martin. Marlene has over thirty five years of tourism experience - both retail and wholesale. She has been a founding Member of organisations such as SKAL South Africa, Travel Bags, SATSA. Marlene has successfully run two retail offices and a wholesale office in Johannesburg with a marketing office in France. Marlene's background includes IATA Diploma, secretarial and commercial diplomas as well as a Diploma in Theology. She is currently undertaking her Masters Degree in Theology. Marlene heads up the Conferences and Incentives Division and Leisure Division.

In 2003 Marlene was joined by Samantha, her daughter who heads up the Destination Weddings and Honeymoons division. Sam has Degrees in Commerce and Law and is currently undertaking a Language Degree in Mandarin Chinese and Italian. Both ladies feel passionate about conservation as well as fair trade in tourism. In 2003 Sun and Sandals became affiliated with TEP Tourism Enterprise Program a division of Business Trust.
